Join us for an exciting excursion in Barka to watch the local tradition of bull fighting. This event happens only on weekend afternoons in varying locations near the town of Barka. There are no designated arenas, rather it is a spontaneous and impromptu gathering of Omanis watching the large bulls duke it out in the open. A great photo-taking opportunity and a way to experience some of the local culture!
*This tour will be available on Thursdays and Fridays only, combined with the Batinah Bash tour

Stier Kampf in der Batinah Region
Der traditionelle omanische Stierkampf findet auf grossen, naturbelassenen Sandplätzen statt und kann nicht mit dem spanischen Stierkampf verglichen werden. Beim omanischen Stierkampf kämpfen gleich starke Tiere gegeneinader und stehen nicht einem mit Schwertern und Spiessen bewaffneten Menschen gegenüber. Die Kämpfe finden immer nur Donnerstags und Freitags an wechselnden Orten statt und das Publikum besteht vornehmlich aus Männern die den stattlichen Bullen bei Ihren Kämpfen zusehen.

There is no bullfighting during the summer, but it should start up again soon. The time and location changes every week. You can call the Al Sawadi Beach Resort and someone may be able to give you the information.
