Trekking in Wadi Shab

One of our most popular and awe-inspiring trips, Wadi Shab is a must-see! Located 2.5 hours from Muscat, deep in the Al Hajar Mountains, it is one of the most stunning Wadis in the Sultanate. The water has carved its way through the rock over centuries, creating deep gorges and fresh-water pools. From the parking lot starts a 45-minute hike along the wadi until reaching the deep aquamarine pools at the back of the valley. There will be some rocks to climb over in the wadi, but otherwise it is not a difficult hike. Please be aware that you will have to walk through the water towards the end of the hike, so appropriate footwear is recommended (reef booties or sneakers you don’t mind getting wet). We will enjoy an afternoon of swimming in the pools, and for those of you who are more adventurous there is also a swim-through cave with an underground waterfall to experience.

Wadi Shab

Diese Tour zählt zu den schönsten und beliebtesten und führt Sie ins Wadi Shab. Gelegen im östlichen Hajar Gebirge und über die Jahrhunderte von Wasser geschaffen, zieht sich diese beeindruckende Schlucht durch die Berge. Unsere Wanderung beginnt je nach Wasserstand zu Fuss oder mit einem kleinen Fischerboot, mit dem wir auf die andere Seite gebracht werden. Nach einer kurzen Wanderung erreichen wir bereits die ersten Pools, die wir seitlich am Wadirand passieren, um zum hinteren Teil des Wadis mit weiteren wundervollen Pools zu gelangen. Türkisblaues Wasser, meterhohe Steilwände und eine wundervolle Umgebung laden zum Verweilen ein. Wer ein bisschen mehr Abenteuer möchte kann mit uns schwimmend eine Grotte erreichen. Der Lichteinfall und ein kleiner Wasserfall sorgen für unübertroffene und bleibende Eindrücke!
